Today I went to pick up some groceries, and to do so involved walking through the mall, and I couldn’t believe it when I saw them unpacking Santa’s Village. Before Halloween?

I can’t remember it ever being this early.

Maybe they are throwing us a bone because it has been such a shitty year. We get some extra time with the Christmas decorations and music, which, if you are like me, you find the most joyful time of year.

So I am not going to complain; it just surprised me.

We are going to go to Spirit Halloween this weekend for the last time this season before it closes. Those are my exciting plans.

In my defence, though, I really hate going out on weekends because the crowds suck the joy out of anything that should be enjoyable. If I can, I much prefer to schedule something on a weekday/night.

I am not a baseball fan, and if I want to be totally accurate, I am not a sports fan at all, but they were streaming the game tonight on the jumbo screens at the square/field across the street, and every once in a while I could hear some loud cheering so I knew it was going well and that made me happy.

How is the Christmas shopping going?

I am completely done for one kid, and mostly for the second. I really made certain to get ahead of the game this year.

In case you missed it, I posted a heritage capsule wardrobe with a twist yesterday. It was based around this Fair Isle sweater (which is currently 30% off during the J.Crew Passport event), and I ended up buying some pretty fantastic jeans that I included as well, which I have had my eye on for quite some time.

I was also trying to find the Banana Republic shirt in the store since it said it was in stock at that location, but it wasn’t, which was annoying since I wanted to try it on.

So I guess I will have to order it online, even though I shouldn’t be buying anything. I tend to give myself permission when I sell a lot of stuff on Poshmark because then it balances things out.

This week, for some reason, was a good Poshmark week. I wonder if they switched up the algorithm and it worked in my favour.

Anyway, whatever the reason, I am happy about it. Hopefully it sticks for a while.
