I would like to say that the stress shopping has dwindled, but that would be a lie. It was a bad week, although I did take a step back and review what I had bought, and I returned some items.

One piece that I kept and love are the paint-splattered jeans that I included in yesterday’s fall capsule for women over 40 post (and you can see me wearing today).

So if you missed it, there are some really fun pieces in there.

I also bought the striped shirt that feels well-worn and is a great layering piece. Now if only the weather would cooperate because it is still summery out there.

Last night I saw a notification pop up on my phone for a restock of the funnel neck faux leather jacket that I have been waiting to come back in stock for the last month and a half.

So add that to the list. I hope I am not disappointed with that after this long.

I did see it in the store first and tried one on that was too big, and I loved it, so it should be good in my right size.

We will find out tomorrow when it arrives.

I have been waiting for Banana Republic to put out this skirt (number 5 in the collage) for a while now. I want it in the chartruese, but unfortunately, it seems to only be available on the US site at the moment.

But I did get the chartruese knit hood for winter (number 20), so I am pretty excited about that.

On Thursday, when I was doing some of my returns, I was also dropping off something that I sold on Poshmark.

It wasn’t going far, so I knew if I got it in the mail, it would have been received today. And what happens 3 hours after I dropped it off?

Canada Post goes on strike again, so now the package is not going to move from that post office for an undetermined amount of time.

I wish that the associate had mentioned that it was a possibility because I would have swapped my Canada Post label for a Purolator.

Lesson learned, Purolator is now my go-to, even though the drop off is less convenient.

Anyway, I hope the strike is resolved quickly because this is too reminiscent of last year when a lot of small businesses were negatively impacted by the strike during the busiest time of year.

On a positive note: Banana Republic added an Archive section to their site where they have a curated collection of 80s, 90s, and 00s pieces which is a fun idea.

Most of it has already sold out because vintage Banana Republic is fantastic. It is inspiring to look through for nostalgia’s sake, though.
