Weekly Secondhand Finds XXVIII

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

Last week I unintentionally themed the post as a minimalist secondhand finds, but this week I went the opposite way with maximalist.

Intentionally.

Any of these maximilast finds would be easy to integrate, no matter your style.

You do not have to be a strictly head-to-toe maximalist dresser; you can add a piece or two to spice things up.

Let’s start with shoes because bold shoes are easier to wear than bold clothing, because they cover only a small section of your body.

Both of these would add some interest to a tank top and jeans summer uniform. Both are also kitten heels, which are very easy to walk in.

I have a strong pull to acid green right now, and this J.Crew fisherman style sweater is calling my name.

I am forever on the hunt for Ralph Lauren button-ups secondhand, but I usually don’t see short sleeve versions in such fun colours like this pink and royal blue.

I have an affinity towards a large brooch, and this lady is pretty large. She would be such a fun piece to add to a jacket or blazer.

The woman who models the clothes for the Etsy shop with this incredible purple leather skirt is stunning.

She has the ability to make every piece she is wearing look like it is from a magazine ad.

I have not seen a leather skirt with this shape before, but to get the full effect, go over to the page to see it on her.

Large pyramid-esque earrings?

These are pretty darn glorious. This would be one of those pieces that you could wear with a completely minimalist outfit to be the focus.

I love a statement belt and they can be hard to find or be ridiculous prices, especially for vintage.

But the seller of this red belt HAS SO MANY BELTS.

And they are priced well. I’m pretty sure that anyone can find a belt there that would appeal to them.

Giant skull latch on a deceptively minimalist bag.

Then you see how the neutral colour really brings your focus to the alligator print and realize that it isn’t really minimalist.

This is a vintage gold bag that can be bold and exciting or really chic, depending on how you wear it.

Carolyn Bessette had a similar one, and she made it so, so chic.

I am not usually partial to miniskirts, but the shape is divine.

The high waist, and the print are also fantastic, but the cocoon shape is the real winner.

We have a band-ish style little jacket in a blue tweed. I enjoy finding tweeds in colours other than grey or brown.

Remember Fido Dido?

Vintage graphic tees are a goldmine of nostalgia and wardrobe goodness. I picked this one for the size of the graphic and the splash of neon pink.

I always wanted a Fido Dido shirt.

The royal blue animal print ruched jacket is a showstopper. Picture it with a white tank and really faded baggy blue jeans.

Moschino is all about camp and maximalism, and I am finishing it off with my two favourite pieces of the night, which both happen to be Moschino.

First is a men’s wool blazer with a bold red lining and multicoloured buttons.

Then we have the showstopper. The playing cards bomber jacket.

This jacket really makes me happy and would fit in well in my wardrobe.

That is it for the week.

There were so many pieces that I was having trouble narrowing them down. I need to figure out a way to be able to share these extra ones that I come across.

Anyway, just like last week’s capsule focused on minimalism, this week is also influenced by this post and will be maximilism.
