My household has officially voted in this election. Three more votes for the Liberals and Mark Carney, and it feels good. I don’t think voting in an election has ever felt this important to me.

When I dropped off the mail-in ballots today I posted on Instagram that the whole belief about, talking about politics and religion being taboo, is not a mindset that I follow.

I think that it is very important to be upfront with things like this because it showcases what you stand for which is an important part of knowing who someone is.

These are also conversations that I have with both of my kids, even though one isn’t voting age although she wishes she could vote in this election.

Now I will step off of my soapbox.

I just finished the television series North of North which is Canadian and it was great. I highly recommend it. It just came out on Netflix Canada.

I also ordered this shirtdress from Zara and it came today, but I am returning it. It just doesn’t wow me or fit like I envisioned.

But, I picked up this sleeveless sweatshirt from Uniqlo in grey and it is fantastic. I sized up for a little bit of extra room.

I also found this green handbag. It is very Y2K and I love it. Even better is that it is a local seller so I won’t have long to wait nor will I have any extra surprise charges.

Because I hate surprises.
