If you have been sleeping on Massimo Dutti I recommend giving it a look because although it is more expensive than Zara, the quality and the pieces are way better.

It is more of a minimalistic vibe than trendy so the pieces will carry over from season to season.

And if you weren’t aware of this, you can also shop Massimo Dutti from the Zara website and app since they are under the same umbrella company.

It makes it easier to shop and return since I can bring items back to a Zara location versus mailing it in since our closest Massimo Dutti store shut down a couple of years ago.

Anyway, their footwear is always nice, and I bought some open weave, high vamp flats from there. I am a little iffy about the sizing because they only had half a size down due to selling out.

But they have a wide, squared-off toe box and since they are a no sock shoe I might get away with it. They are like the white version I included in today’s roundup but in black.

We don’t have the white on the Canadian site yet.

I also asked a woman who I follow on Instagram, who just got hers yesterday and she said they lean to a bit big so fingers crossed.

I’m trying to get my summer shoe selection figured out. I actually just returned some sandals because even though they were super cool looking I knew that I wasn’t going to wear them.

Every year I try to convince myself that I am a sandal person, even though I openly admit that I am not. Every. Single. Year.

And then I waste money on a new pair, and I never wear them.

So I am being proactive and it seems that sneakers and open weave/mesh shoes are my game plan this year. I hope they fit.

And in case you missed it, ’tis the season for building a transitional wardrobe and yesterday’s spring capsule wardrobe post talks about this.

  1. Love your style and posts! Wanted to let you know I used your link to get notified and buy No.23. they arrived yesterday and even though I used their sizing recommendation based on other Adidas runners, they are a full inch too big. I’m DEVASTATED because they sold out immediately and I really want them 😭

    • Oh no! They are a gender neutral shoe but most of the colours sizing is listed in men’s, did you get the men’s size? I wear an 8-8.5 ladies but mine are a men’s 7/UK 6.5/EU 40. I find it easier to go by the UK or EU sizes because they don’t seem to change between genders. The general rule of thumb when ordering men’s shoes is go down a size to size and a half in the US size. What colour did you order because Nordstrom has some in a few of the colours left. I know the Adidas site is almost sold out in all colours though, but they will definitely restock like the did with the ever sold out Sambas. I’m just not sure when. I am so sorry, that is so disappointing.

      • Ah good advice! Looks like Nordstrom won’t ship to Canada anymore, not meant to be!
