As I was sitting here typing this the building’s air conditioning kicked in, so hallelujah I will be able to sleep in comfort tonight. It was a hot few days that I thought was going to continue until at least Monday or Tuesday.
I know I bitch about the heat a lot but jeez, I’d love to live in a temperate city. 18°C is my ideal, so I’m not really sure where that would be but if I had the means and the ability I’d move in a heartbeat.
It’s a long weekend here but since everything is still locked down there isn’t much to do. I’ll probably just pack up and mail off the pile of returns that I have been avoiding this week.
I’d also like to get the rest of the stuff unpacked which involves motivating the teenager since a lot of it is hers. We have a huge pile in the front hall of donation crap that we can’t drop off until stuff reopens which is super annoying.
I had my final apartment walk-through yesterday morning with my old landlord. I was really nervous about it but she made it quick and easy.
That chapter of our life is now closed and it feels good.
