If you are looking for what to pack for Ljubljana, Slovenia in summer then look no further. I have a Slovenia packing light list to help to give you some ideas. I have the summer outfit packing list at the top of the post, and the corresponding summer outfit  options made from the pieces located at the bottom of the post. That’s the usual way of it, but if you are new here you might be unfamiliar with how I do things 🙂

Slovenia weather in June and July is quite similar to northern Italy, and ranges from the mid to high 20s (in celsius). Although it can be quite rainy during the summer months, so you might want to pack an umbrella or even a waterproof jacket. Monitor the weather closely up until the day you leave, and amend your packing list depending on the weather predictions. Don’t be like me though. For some reason I had my weather app on London, England instead of Toronto Ontario. I went out today thinking it was 21°C and sunny, to find out it was 12°C and windy with some rain. I wasn’t dressed for the weather. And I have no idea how my app location got switched. Life’s little mysteries 😉

If you are looking for a Mediterranean getaway and want to avoid the tourists, then Slovenia might be a good option for you. You will get the amazing architecture, castles, art (both street and gallery), and so much more without the crowds.

Slovenia is known for its lakes and hiking, so if that is included in your itinerary then make sure to pack accordingly. Appropriate leggings, or shorts, along with a zip up are easy pieces to include bring……and proper shoes if you don’t think your sneakers will cut it. Remember that the higher the elevation, the colder it will be.

Slovenian fashion can lean towards slightly more modest than it’s more touristy neighbours, so keep that in mind when packing your travel wardrobe. Also note that in Slovenia the temperature tends to drop at night so bring a sweater, light jacket, and some jeans to have just in case you get cold. The sweater and jacket will also come in handy if you want to make your outfit more modest for some tourists sites that may require it.
