Weekly Secondhand Finds (Vol. C)

A white background with a collection of 16 preloved and vintage finds from the past week.

I sold three things on Poshmark while I was making this post, so I am pretty stoked about that because I have an upcoming hydro bill that needs paying.

Pardon me while I jump right in. I had a long day, and my brain feels too frazzled to write much.

I feel like these two might be my favourites of the post.

A long navy blue velvet coat, and this absolutely beautiful red print vintage stunner. I just want to live somewhere that I need a coat of some kind all year long and then just build my wardrobe around fantastic jackets and coats.

They truly are some of the best pieces in my wardrobe.

Another jacket, this one vintage leather with an asymmetrical button front. It is very minimalist, which makes that asymmetry really stand out.

Handbags in a bold colour truly are such an easy and interesting way to add something extra to an outfit without minimal effort.

Wilson’s leather is a fantastic vintage brand. I usually gravitate towards their jackets, but their bags are also top quality.

You would think that this colour would clash with a lot of other colours, but it really vibes well with so many. Black, grey, navy, chocolate brown, camel brown for more of a neutral pairing, but then venture into light blue, purples, pink, orange and even a tomato red for bold pairings.

I feel like this is the time to grab a vintage silk and beaded jacket like these two.

We have seen them in thrift stores for years and passed them by for being too much and not knowing how we would wear them.

I am telling you to grab one. They are such standout pieces that they instantly elevate even the most basic look, like t-shirt and jeans.

The silver one is beautiful, but I love the blue (mostly because I look better in blue than silver).

Two more amazing coats. I am in love with this brown leather one. The length makes this one special because you don’t really expect it of a jacket in this style.

It reminds me of Danier, and we all know that I love vintage Danier leather jackets.

This beautiful floral gold jacket is also a longline style but leans in the dressy direction. Except I have learned over the years not to save pieces like this for special occasions.

Wear them, and enjoy them for what they are made for.

Check out this blue animal print vintage frame bag.

I would buy her, but I can’t. I don’t share anything on here that I would not use or wear myself.

Like these glorious burgundy animal print boots. I love the shape of the heel and the little cutout part in the back. Interesting footwear is my thing.

These loafers have so much personality. This is my style of loafers versus the traditional pairs.

Or how about some blue snake print boots with the perfect height block heel?

They are from Paloma Wool, and I have owned some of their knits and a button-up over the years and have never been disappointed.

It is a sought-after brand, and they have a high resale value as well.

I know I said that the first two jackets were my favourites, but can I add this one too? I love her so much. I can’t imagine feeling anything but joy wearing this.

These cords are from the 70s and are a 33×32, which would fit me the way I like my pants to fit.

I’d love to grab them because I am in the market for chocolate brown cords, but I will hold out for a bit in case one of you are also in the market.

The last two pieces are accessories, so let’s start with this statement necklace.

It is seriously incredible, right? Ugh, I need to up my statement necklace game.

This horse brooch is also pretty incredible. For some reason, it reminds me of the horse images on ancient Greek pottery, which makes me love it even more.

That is it, friends.

Do you do secondhand Christmas presents for people? I love both giving and receiving secondhand items. Honestly? I prefer it for myself.

Personally, I think it is a lot harder to find the perfect secondhand gift for someone, so I know that they saw something and felt it was truly perfect for me.

Anyway, a thought to keep in mind this holiday season. You need to know your audience because some people won’t appreciate it, but to me it is a fantastic option.

I will sign off by saying that my mall was hanging Christmas decorations today, which is why this was on my mind.
