I bought a McCain’s Deep and Delicious chocolate cake this afternoon and almost ate the whole thing. Probably not a well-balanced food day today.
Remember how I was talking about the universal mystery of having teens and missing forks? Well, tonight I had to drink out of a measuring cup.
The kid who I know is responsible is currently in her room gathering as much as she can for tonight’s dishwashing.
Why do they do this?
I made the mistake of sleeping with the window open last night. And while I love cold, fresh air when I am sleeping, there is a point at which it is too cold.
The wind shifted sometime in the night, so what started as a nice circulation of air turned into wind, and I woke up with my muscles contracted from being so cold.
Almost like when you have a fever and are shivering. I hate that feeling.
Needless to say, I shut it off and turned the heated blanket on until I warmed up. I probably should have paid attention to the frost advisory.
My health card still hasn’t arrived, so I probably shouldn’t have waited so long to renew it because I really want to get my flu shot.
There are so many people who are sick, and I’d really love for it not to be me.
I bought my first poppy pin of the season today, though; hopefully I don’t lose it like I tend to do every year. Not that I mind having to make a donation for every new one that I get to replace it.
I also found a baseball shirt (with the red sleeves) like mine, and I included it in this roundup. It’s almost identical, except it has full sleeves instead of 3/4 sleeves like mine. But full-length sleeves are better for this time of year anyway.
And Madewell has a collaboration with the New York Public Library and it is cute. I included the t-shirt in the round up too.
In case you missed it, I posted a winter wardrobe for “the amateur“, someone who wants to start something for themselves, not for anyone else.
