While my face literally felt like it froze off today when I was outside walking, I got to think about some packing inspiration for Havana, Cuba for this post.

Escapism at its best.

This could be used as any warm-weather destination packing list with a few tweaks here and there.

Havana is hot, like pretty damn hot all year long.

Regardless of the heat, you will see both men and women sporting jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers any given day because they are accustomed to the heat.

Leave the jeans at home unless it is during the winter months because you will feel like your skin is melting off (wearing them on the plane may be a good idea though).

Stick to breezy, lightweight fabrics in your travel capsule wardrobe because they will help to keep you cool.

You won’t need sweaters or jackets, but it is a good idea to bring at least one sweater even if it is just for the plane.

I also threw in a lightweight blazer to have an option for night-time.

I included some loose, wide-leg pants in both a cropped and an airy palazzo version, a skirt, a couple of dresses (that skim the figure or are looser vs being fitted which can be hot), and a few tops to mix and match with everything.

For travel shoe options I have added a casual walking sandal (Teva’s), some “dressier” sandals, and a canvas sneaker.

The heat is pretty intense near the equator so don’t forget a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

The hat I included is packable and coincidentally is called “The Sunday Afternoons Havana Hat”.

Although Havana is full of colourful buildings and cars, the clothes are more subdued.

Because of this, I included a more mellow colour palette.

You can always add some brighter scarves or accessories if you want to add a little more touches of colour.

Also don’t forget a swimsuit or two!

I have several of the above pieces. The strappy sandals, slip dress, the camisole (but in black), and I just ordered the grey t-shirt 🙂

This packing list is for 10 days in Havana, Cuba. All of the visuals in this post are meant as a guideline to aid you in creating your own Cuba Packing List based on your own clothing, colour preferences, and personal style.
