SHOP THE POST
Holy crap this weekend was nice. And by nice I mean I wore a sweater, my leather jacket, and today I even wore my favourite beanie. The beanie was less about the cold and more about more because I didn’t wash my hair and it was super windy so it kept it contained, but it actually was cold enough to. I’m not holding my breath that it’s going to stick but I’ll open all the windows and take in what I can.
Do you know what I hate? When you go to an outlet mall and 50% of the merchandise in most stores is still the price you would see in non outlet stores. I thought that the point of outlet stores was to get discounted items. Am I wrong? I was still able to get some pretty cool things for Christmas though, like this blanket for Merle, (I’m getting this one for Roo) and I found this awesome shirt for me (which isn’t for christmas).
Why can’t my kids learn the lesson that if you want me to get you something please make sure that you behave, listen, and do the chores that are required of you prior to wanting the item. Not ignore mom until there is something you want so you try to suck up by doing everything that she asked for you to do the week before. Does that makes sense? It drives me insane. It’s simple: do those things that you are supposed to do and you get an allowance at the end of the week to do with as you choose. Don’t do them then you get nothing no matter how much you plead and how many extra chores you throw in while trying to suck up.
That is my rant of the week.
