While I was getting inspiration for this I got lost in a YouTube hole of watching videos of Venice, Italy. I love pedestrian cities, and this one just seems like such a great place to raise a family.

I can just visualize the city walks down old alleyways and crossing all the footbridges to get to the grocery store like in this video. I also am in love with this house.

I would love to see what it would look like with all of our belongings and furniture versus the more dated/gaudy stuff in the video (I’d definitely keep the gold-framed paintings).

One can dream big right?

Today’s packing list focuses on the question of what should you pack when you are going to multiple destinations that will experience different weather and different vibes.

For example: what to you pack for Paris when you want to dress simple and sophisticated, but what to pack for Positano which is more carefree and Bohemian. (This is where I would put my shrugging emoji because I honestly it’s hard one).

It takes some planning to figure out what pieces will work in your travel wardrobe to give you all the style ideas that you visualize.

I tried to fit in more minimalistic pieces, with some feminine pieces in hopes to put together multiple looks in the styles she wanted.

Keep in mind that this trip is for two weeks in Paris, Rome, Positano, Florence, and Venice, in mid-September.

Each city is for a few days, and the weather in several of these places can still potentially get quite hot during the day.

I decided to focus on linen, cotton, and airy pieces like the floral dress and peasant shirt. I  also like pieces like the black blouse which can accommodate hotter days easily by rolling the sleeves up, leaving it unbuttoned in the front to wear over other pieces (like a swimsuit), or knotted at the waist.

The cropped, wide-leg black pants are loose and airy which will keep you comfortable. The jeans are cropped and wide leg and will look great with a knotted tee and sandals for a boho or 70s vibe (I have jeans like this that I wear constantly.

You can see how I paired the same outfit I just described in my Instagram post from today). There is also the potential for quite a bit of rain in some of these cities so I also included a lightweight sweater (also great for the airplane), and a blazer which will work well as a light jacket and polishing up a look while in Paris or a night out.

Once you get your capsule wardrobe pieces and travel outfits planned it’s time to add a few accessories.

Scarves are one of my favourite ways to complete a look.

They are so versatile that it is worth it to throw one or two in your bag since they don’t take up any room.

They can be worn around the neck (in many ways depending on the size. I prefer the look of a small square scarf knotted around the throat), worn as a headband or wrapped around a bun, they also look great wrapped around your wrist or tied to your bag.

Along with the wardrobe list at the top, I put together 18 travel outfit ideas that you can find directly below. I hope that it gives you some inspiration.
