SHOP THE POST

I know I am tardy to the jumpsuit party and even though they were popular over the last few years, it seems that this year they are absolutely everywhere. That’s fashion for you though. It floods to the stores where the masses shop after it trickles in through high-end brands to start.

As much as I tried to, I could never find a style that I liked before this year. I found them to be be either too fitted, too dressy looking, or short instead of long and I always passed on them. This year though, I swear that I find more jumpsuits that I like than jeans. The styles are much more up my alley with the ankle skimming lengths, loose and drapey fabrics, and the casual/minimalist vibe.  I’m not one who buys multiples of one trend, I usually stick to one or maybe two if it is something that I will get a lot of wear from so as much as I would like to I won’t be hoarding jumpsuits. I already found this one that I liked which I bought from Zara last week, but I also debating and loving a few of the styles above. Namely numbers 1, 3, 6, 9, and 16.

I found I was having issues with the length of many styles I tried on, and being at the height where I can sometimes get away with petite (I’m 5’3″ so I fall at the end of petite sizing and they don’t always work on me because I have longish arms), so I headed over to Asos to check out their petite styles. Asos has some great jumpsuits at the moment and many of them come in a petite, regular, tall, and plus which they call Asos Curve (and even maternity). It’s nice to have the option because honestly if I have to alter something I will usually not buy it because it is a pain in the ass and it will sit around waiting to be altered until the season is almost over :/

So what do you think of jumpsuits? Are you going to add one to your summer wardrobe this year?
