SHOP THE POST

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I make a dinner my kids eat every single time and then they BOTH don’t eat it that night. This happened tonight with lasagna. I mean, who doesn’t eat their lasagna?  And this is why I hate cooking for people.

I swear that every time Tom is out of town the fire alarm in our building goes off that night, and I have to worry about how I am going to get two kids and a cat down all those stairs if it’s the real deal. It went off Saturday night and of course out of the 33 floors in the building, it was originating on our floor. After about 45 minutes of the alarm going off they came on the PA to say that everything was “now clear”, and it sounded like he said “not clear” so I had an oh shit moment, while Merle looked at me with “oh, shit. let’s get the hell out of here” eyes. It was cleared up the second time he said it.

I *think* we are hitting up the movies this week to see A Wrinkle in Time. It decided to come to our theatre a week after the release date for some reason. I hope it doesn’t disappoint……It has Oprah in it so I doubt it. She’s so major that even my autocorrect knows to capitalize her name 😉 I’ll let you know if we like it.

Spring Break is over and I am tempted to take another week just because there is still so much that I have to do. I feel like I managed to get so much done this past week that another week would have me totally caught up on everything that I needed to get done. Don’t tell my girls that thought crossed my mind though. Kidding…..sort of.

Have you seen he movie yet? How does it compare to the book? I mean, I have never encountered a movie that surpassed the book except The Wizard of Oz. I found the movie way better.
