I have come to the conclusion that after pairing the pieces from my What to Pack for Amsterdam, Netherlands packing list into these travel outfits, I feel like it is my duty to find myself an oversized corduroy blazer in this colour (or something equivalent).

I want to hit the thrift stores hard this weekend because I have a feeling there are a plethora of old man blazers there to choose from in the men’s department. They can be too broad across the shoulders on me, but there may be some old men out there who weer smaller framed.

I also want to find some wool trousers which I may also find second-hand too if I am lucky. I think that  finding a pair of flats in a bold colour like these blue ones would also be a good idea. I am coming to the conclusion that I am facing a wardrobe overhaul 😉

These pieces can really add a statement to an outfit, and I am looking for this kind of statement.

There were a pair of bright green booties from Zara a few months back that I had my eye on but a) I waited too long. and b) they had a heel which I usually avoid. It was a kitten heel which I can actually manoeuvre in with general ease but I think flats might be a better first choice.

There are twenty travel outfits here from the What to Pack for Amsterdam capsule wardrobe.

The trip is for 10 days in the Netherlands so the weather will average around 17°C as a daily high with a temperature drop in the evenings.

With these outfits, I didn’t include a lot of accessories but the ones I have included tie everything together nicely. The hat has the perfect vintage vibe to go with the blazer and actually looks exactly like my fedora that I love but in black (mine is charcoal and the feather fell out).

I love that hat. The woven circle purse also has a vintage look and kind of brings an awesome modern 70’s vibe to the outfits, and the blue and brown square scarf will look amazing tied in different ways that complement each outfit.

You don’t need to pack a lot of pieces to have a lot to wear. A handful of basics, add some colour and texture, and a few bold accessories that will tie it all together and still allow you to pack light in a carry-on.

There are so many looks you can get from this depending on your Amsterdam travel itinerary or even how you are feeling that day. I mentioned in the original post that this packing list made me reevaluate my wardrobe and brought out the desire to add a lot more colour to it.

Putting these outfits together only reinforced that feeling.

I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I did.
