Today is Merle’s birthday. I can’t believe she is 7. We are celebrating over the next few days because Tom has to work.  Roo and I are taking her out shopping and to dinner today, then we are coming home to bake her a giant cookie.

This weekend is when we are supposed to hit the Monster Exhibit at the Art Gallery, and the Christmas Market down in the Distillery District. I was hoping to hit them up today to escape the weekend crowds but work is work, and we need to pay bills so crowds it is 😉

I squeezed in a Christmas packing list for Vienna for the year yesterday and today is the companion travel outfit post. Since the trip is planned for 3 weeks I put together 24 outfits from the pieces and no one look will need to be repeated for the entire trip if you choose not to.

We all know that we tend to find an outfit we like and that is comfortable and repeat it though so if that is your habit you can pack less, especially with access to laundry.

The trip is from around the 20th of December to the middle of January so cold weather should be expected. Therefore a proper winter coat, warm boots, and winter travel accessories are the most important pieces to include.

Other key pieces are sweaters, things to layer under/over them and enough bottoms to mix and match easily. Three pairs should cover you well. Adding a few pieces with a bold print (like the leopard sweater) or colour (like the blazer) will keep things from getting monotonous.

Austria in winter is a magical time of year to be travelling. I hope that this gave you some ideas and you have a wonderful time.
