It’s cold and miserable today which is my favourite weather. On days like this I wish that our patio was a bit bigger so we could put one of those self standing hammocks and a Papasan Chair with a colourful cushion (this is a cute stool that would also make a great outdoor side table). Kind of like bohemian decor to sit out in and enjoy the rain. There is also Ribfest going on across the street until Sunday night so for the next few days I will be eating ribs like a boss. Yay for living smack dab in the middle of a city, you get access to all the cool stuff.

Tis the season for great sales and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today (for card holders) and you can check out yesterday’s post if you want to see my early access picks. If only I had a never-ending supply of money 😉

This post has the outfit options to the What to Pack for Greece packing light list from Wednesday. The list is for a 14 day trip so I was going to put together 20 outfits, but ended up with 30. There are just so many ways to piece these selections together that I could have easily made more but it is 8 pm (as I write this) and I want to get to bed at a decent time.

The original post has all the pieces laid out in list formation but for those that don’t feeling like looking at that post the breakdown is as follows:

I used to have a fantastic pair of espadrilles years ago but I wore them basically until the sole fell off. They were the only shoes I wore when we went to Barbados even though I brought several pairs. If I would have known they would be back in style I probably would have tried to find a way to salvage them.

Have you ever had any regrets about getting rid of items from your closet? I still regret getting rid of a top from 1995…..

  1. I can’t remember ever donating anything and regretting it, but I’ve definitely had clothes I really loved disappear. When I still lived at home my sister would always try to help out with putting things away after doing laundry, but then I’d never find them again, so I’d replace it, and then it would happen all over again. After I moved out my mom was reorganizing their place and found (and this is not an exaggeration) over 100 pairs of jeans in almost perfect condition. Where on earth these were I have no idea, I guess the Bermuda Triangle is in the closet I shared with my sister.

It still happens a bit, but it’s pretty rare now. We lived with my in laws for awhile, and my MIL is pretty bad about going through other people’s stuff, so she’d get rid of things that didn’t fit her idea of who her son should be married to. We get along great now, but I didn’t really like her very much for quite awhile!

Just last week two t-shirts disappeared, I’d filled up a bag of old clothes to donate and they might have accidentally been added to the bag. They’ve both got superheroes on them (Catwoman and Black Canary) and I love them, but never wear them, so decided to turn them into throw pillows for my daughter. I mentioned this to MIL, and when she left our place she took the donation bag for me and the shirts were gone too. So either she forgot what I said and donated them, or one day she’ll come over with two new superhero throw pillows.

    • Disappearing clothes is so weird eh? My oldest daughter literally loses one half of every set of socks. I’m not sure what happens to them. She wears character socks so it’s way more noticeable than my mostly black socks. It’s got to the point where she had to wear one Hufflepuff and one doctor who sock, or a Disney stitch sock with a Darth Vader.

I hope that your mil is surprising you with he pillows and didn’t toss them. That would be horrible and such a waste of kick ass tees 🙁 they sound like they would make super cool pillows. You have inspired me to go through some old tees and see if any of them are pillow worthy. I’m fairly certain there is a rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock one around here somewhere that would make a great one.
