You know you are a mom when you reach in to your housecoat pocket looking for your chapstick and you pull out a tooth :/ Sounds creepy (or gross) but we had a tooth fairy visit on the weekend and when I swapped the tooth for the money I was half asleep and just slid it into my pocket. Merle is a little wild-looking right now with her missing a couple of important front teeth and she doesn’t always let me brush her hair. So when we were grocery shopping the other day and waiting to pay she took the cookie dough off of the conveyor belt, and cradled it saying in her best Gollum voice, “my precious.” I had to apologize to the cashier because she looked a little concerned and scared 😉

After I posted my What to Pack for Sweden packing list last week I received a comment asking if I could make some kids lists for the same trip. I said sure, so this week I am working on a couple of kids packing lists (boy and girl), and hopefully I’ll get to another one by end week depending how the week goes.

I wanted to make a post on a few pieces that I own that I altered to suit me better. Not altered much but enough to make a difference to whether I would wear it or not. I also plan on posting how I get 6 quick, easy, and different looks from basic t-shirt dress.

I made a promise to myself last week that starting tomorrow I am kicking my own ass in to getting fitter. We are so bloody close to summer now, and as the weather gets warmer it won’t be easy to hide behind sweaters and layers. Anyone know a quick efficient exercise program that I can do at home that will whip me in to somewhat decent shape?

If there is anything you are interested in me posting on here let me know in the comments or by sending me an email. Have a great week!

  1. Total score on this past week’s outfits, Sara. And your ideas for future posts sound intriguing, so looking forward to them. My current wish wardrobe list is for just one thing, a pair of black platform sandals. I have my eye on a cool looking pair from Zaful. Do you happen to know the site, as in recommending it? Cheers, Ardith

    • Thanks!

I’ve only seen Zaful ads on Facebook. It looks like they have a lot of mixed reviews online though. But it seems that people are saying that the quality has improved over the last year so it may be worth a go if they are a good deal. I watched a few Youtube reviews to see what people have to say and it seems hit and miss. The are based out of Hong Kong so they are probably on par with Romwe and Chicwish clothes (I haven’t tried either of those though).

I hope your husband is doing well.

      • Thanks so much, Sara, for taking the time to look into Zaful! I took a look at reviews as well and decided it’s not worth the risk for now. I found a pair on Amazon, although I don’t like them as much as the Zaful pair, but we’ll see.

Thank you also for asking about Mr. K. He continues to do very well, although the pain is noticeable the more he pushes to find out what his limitations are as he heals. He continues to improve daily, and yesterday managed to BBQ some outrageous “hibachi” chicken we turned into tacos.

How are things for you this week? Cheers, Ardith

        • I’m glad to hear he’s doing better and it’s so hard to take it easy after a major surgery even though you know it’s best. It’s the frustration that pushes you to test the limits I think.

I’m currently sitting at the library letting one kid get rid of some energy while the other is attending a class. I think this is the only quiet I’ve had all week 😉 keep me updated on the shoes and how Mr. K is doing. Have a good (and easy) weekend. Both of you.

    • Thanks Jennifer!

7 minutes is right up my alley. I do the old body rock 12 minute exercises sometimes and they always kick my ass, I’ll try anything that is science based 😉
