My Weekend Wardrobe Uniform

Processed with VSCOcam with f3 preset

Weekends in our house are for running errands. I generally have a weekend wardrobe uniform that I stick to in one form or another and I recently added some new pieces. When I really love an item of clothing I’m the type of person that will go back and buy other colours if they are available. I have done this twice in the last month already. First I bought my zombie fighting hat just over a month ago in brown and have worn it religiously. Last week I went back into H&M and they had the hat in black so I purchased that one too.

I have become a real hat person lately but sometimes I have fitting issues because of my enormous head. So when I find a hat I love that also fits I buy it (if I have the finances).

During the same black hat shopping expedition, I bought a sweater. The tag says it is oatmeal colour but I swear it looks greyer to me. At least mine does.

I wore it three times the week I bought it and this past weekend I went back and bought it in teal. I am also debating about buying it in light pink or yellow.

I love it. It has a great loose fit with a high-low hem, and it is only $19.95 which obviously a great deal and a large reason why I bought it in the first place.

I was scrolling through Facebook yesterday when I read an article on Elephant Journal about a woman who drank hot lemon and honey in water every morning for a year and had all kinds of beneficial effects from it.

I thought I would give it a shot. I am not signing on to a year but I promised myself I would give it 30 days so we will see if I notice anything positive from that. I’ll be sure to report back if I do.

I am also digging out and dusting off my sewing machine tomorrow to attempt a DIY project. I haven’t sewn in a long while though.

It lost its fun for me when we were broke and I made a bunch of Christmas presents for the girls. It was like doing it out of necessity took the joy out of it. Fingers crossed that it turns out as planned.
