It’s funny because fall is my favourite season for dressing and living, and I have yet to make a long weekend packing list for it. So tonight with What to Pack for a Long Weekend in Fall, I will rectify this unintentional oversight.

You can really feel the fall in the air today, especially this evening. The breeze has that touch of cool, versus the hot breath of satan that is summer.

It has me itching to wear a coat.

What to Pack for London in the Fall

London Packing List

A white background with a photo of the thames and London Clock Tower at the top. Below is a layout of what you should pack for London in the fall.

T-shirt | Bodysuit | Blue Blouse | White Blouse | Sweatshirt | Black Sweater | Striped Sweater | Oversized Plaid | Raincoat | Sweater Dress | Trousers | Jeans | Black Trousers | Stirrups | Quilted Jacket | Sunglasses | Mask | Earrings | Loafers | Sneakers | Boots | Black Purse | Tote |

This packing list is a trip that also includes some time in Italy, so it is actually one of those multi climate vacations that confuse people with what to pack. In this instance, I would focus on what to pack for London in the fall and then make sure most of your selections will work for the Italy half of the trip.

This is because London’s weather can be so unpredictable that you need to bring enough that will cover most weather type situations.

Autumn like most people is actually my favourite time of year, therefore I always find it the easiest to dress in this weather. That makes it the easiest (and most enjoyable) to pack for as well.

A Mini Summer Packing List for Summer’s Last Hurrah

Weekend Trip Packing List

A photo of a downtown area at the top and underneath is white background with a list of mini summer packing list.

T-shirt | Bodysuit | Button Up | Sweatshirt | Dress | Blazer | Jeans | Trousers | Pyjamas | Bra | Underwear | Earrings | Sunglasses | Sneakers | Flats | Purse | Tote | Weekender |

It feels weird saying “summer’s last hurrah” since it feels like summer only just began, but my birthday is Friday and as I have always said, when my birthday hits, summer is pretty much done.

Everything after that point feels like it goes by in superspeed. That was always my experience when I was younger and it feels even more so now.

That being said I have seen a few people that I know posting photos of their children’s first days of school already. So I know that summer has already ended for many.

An Early Fall Packing List

Early Autumn Packing List

Tank | T-shirt | Button-Up | Black Shirt | Striped Shirt | Vest | Sweatshirt | Sweater | Cardigan | Blazer | Jeans | Black Jeans | Trousers | Dress | Earrings | Scarf | Sunglasses | Boots | Sneakers | Flats | Purse | Tote |

It definitely didn’t feel like early fall today when I was walking in the sweltering heat carrying a case of Bubly lime carbonated water, but fall is going to be rolling in soon.

And before we hit full-blown fall we get that transitional period that is one of my favourite times of the year both temperature-wise and to dress for.

How to Build a Summer Weekend Cottage Packing List

Cottage Packing List

A white background with a layout of what to pack for a weekend at the cottage.

Tank | Band Tee | White T-shirt | Cropped Sweatshirt | Pyjamas | Jumpsuit | Cardigan | Shorts | Joggers | Swimsuit Cover | Bra | Underwear | Socks | Swimsuit | Hat | Sunglasses | Scrunchies | Sneakers | Sandals | Tote | Weekender Tote |

I will preface this by admitting that I am absolutely not a cottage or camping type of person. I don’t think that is shocking to anyone that knows or is familiar with me.

Although I probably wouldn’t pass up a luxury cottage that has good wifi, tv, and great bathroom facilities.

That being said, my mother-in-law has a cabin way up north. She has had it for many, many years, and Tom loves to go down there for a least one long weekend every summer.
