The Best of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales
(Click on the + icon to be taken to directly to the product page.)
I probably should have put this out earlier because many sales have already started and are in full swing, but there are also many more that won’t be starting until midnight that I figure it’s okay. I will be stalking the Zara website at midnight hoping for a deal or two myself.
I’ve gone through and tried to find as many sales details and coupon codes that I could for a variety of retailers and will post them below along with some of my favourites from each retailer.
I won’t be getting a Reads and Finds post out tomorrow because of all the sales and diminishing stock this weekend. It is also Roo’s 14th birthday on Saturday and since her day always falls around Black Friday she likes to go out and see how far she can make her birthday money go. So in other words we will be shopping the whole day, or least until she loses steam.
I hope that you guys that are celebrating Thanksgiving have a great long weekend!
My favourite sale of the day is from Cuyana. While they aren’t doing sitewide discounts, they are donating 10% of every sale on Black Friday to the California fire victims.

I was online Christmas shopping tonight and ended up buying myself the above Mr. Rogers t-shirt instead. Whoops. I did manage to get something for Tom though which is miraculous because he is the hardest person to buy for ever.
The new Uniqlo opened up down the street today and I went down to see what it was like. The store was massive, and has men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes which is awesome. There was so much nice stuff and I love how they don’t have a billion different style in a few colours, but instead have a select amount of classic styles in a lot of colours. I was gravitating to the cashmere v-necks, and merino wool sweaters because they are great wardrobe staples (and affordable there) and I would love to have one or two of each. I walked around the store for a bit with one of each in my hands but honestly the line-up was way too long so I just put everything back. I’ll go back maybe the middle of next week when it’s calmed down a bit. I really wanted to break from my usual and get some nice, bright colours but ended up with black and grey in my hands (surprise, surprise). I think a nice green, burgundy, or yellow would be nice to have too though…..you know, after the black and grey 😉
I’ve included a picture of the girls on Halloween at the bottom of the post in case you missed it. Have a great weekend!

Is sewing finger a real affliction? Ever since I had to hand stitch a big part of Roo’s witch hat, the side of my right index finger has been sore. For the past couple of days it has got worse instead of better and now it’s red, slightly swollen, and looks like it might be infected. This is the area that I was using to push the needle through, and I really should have used a thimble. Thankfully I finished them tonight.
Have a great weekend!
