SHOP THE POST

Well, Tom had a really successful thrifting day today. Not only did he find me a great pair of Converse, he also found an espresso machine (but in blue not red) that retails for significantly more than the $20 he paid for it.

My newest favourite thing is Green Goddess salad dressing from Whole Foods. It’s soooo good that I actually eat salads multiple times a day now which never happens. Although it’s probably not good to be eating that much salad dressing :/

I’ve decided to rewatch Elementary. I actually haven’t seen the last two season so I thought I would rewatch the entire series before moving on to those. I really enjoy it.

I swear I have officially run out of books to read Merle before bed. We have read our way through all of age appropriate book lists we could find. Mensa for Kids has great lists at the bottom of this page if you are stumped too.

She also listens in to the non age appropriate books that I still read aloud to Roo for school, so she is making her way through high school book lists already 😉 She’s heard Romeo and Juliet, To Kill a Mockingbird, Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, Animal Farm, and The Book Thief so far this year. Animal Farm was her favourite.

I think this means that it will be okay if we move on to the middle school lists, and I am sure there are a few titles that we can tick off those that we have read already anyway. If you have a kid that loved the Harry Potter series I highly recommend The Chronicles of Prydain series. It was one of our most enjoyed books/series so far.

I’m going to have to spend some time this week tracking down books, and putting them on hold at the library. I love the library, it saves me so much money and room in the house. I’d love to have a library in my house like this, sculptures and all.
