SHOP THE POST

One of the things that I hate most is trying to figure out what to have for dinner when you desperately need to go grocery shopping. Especially when it is at 8pm after you just finished a five-hour long Monopoly game that you thought would never end.

I’m pretty sure Merle breathed a sigh of relief when she landed on my property and couldn’t pay the $1000 rent. We were kind of over it by that time, even though it is The Nightmare Before Christmas Edition which makes it a lot better 😉

We found the Monopoly game at the Vintage Toy Convention today for $15 (not all the toys were vintage), along with some Ghostbuster bed sheets from 1986, and a singing Alvin and the Chipmunks doll for Merle. Roo got a really creepy 1960s Bugs Bunny. She has this thing for the super creepy vintage toys that have balding hair and plastic faces…..I’m not sure why. She also got a couple of Fraggles, and some Muppet Baby stuff because collects the Muppets, especially Kermit.

You have to head to these places when doors open otherwise all the good stuff sells. It’s cutthroat 😉 We were back home by 2:30, and then Monopoly commenced because you can’t buy a kid a board game and not play it with them. But it time sucked the rest of the day for me, and now I am scrambling to complete everything that I should have finished yesterday. I am also simultaneously writing a grocery list so that I can place a grocery order before bed.

Tomorrow is supposed to get as high as 18ºC which will be amazing if it in fact hits that, and I think we all will go for a long walk to air ourselves out after this winter. Even the bees were out today even though I still can’t spot a speck of green.

I hope you have a good week guys.
