It never fails that every weekend in my building the fire alarm goes off (it’ s going off right now). I think I have almost become immune to the annoying beeping sound. It always starts with the beep, then they come over the P.A. system and say, “Can I have your attention please. Can I have your attention please. This is building security……” Then the beeping resumes.

We are supposed to stay in our suites until the fire department comes (obviously if there is smoke billowing down the halls you evacuate) but many people ignore that and leave their suites to walk down a million flights of stairs and stand outside in the cold and wait. We wait inside. The only time I contemplate going down is if it is on my floor, which it has only been once. Never once has there been a real fire here though, knock on wood. I’m not sure what it is about the weekend that makes people set the alarm off.

I’ve spent the last 4 hours going through every single photo on my blog and optimizing it. So. Many. Photos. It was never-ending and gave up for the night to continue again tomorrow because I only made it about halfway through.

Have you ever tried Instacart? I keep seeing the ads on Facebook, and then I noticed a pattern of friends trying it and raving about it (also on Facebook) and I want to try it. I really, really hate grocery shopping, and even more so on the weekend. Since I live in the city centre, the store closest to me is always insanely busy. I think it will also be a good way to help me really focus on meal planning, and then stick to what is actually on my grocery list therefore saving money.

I ALWAYS misjudge my strength and end up internally crying when I go through the cash when and notice how much I will have to carry home by myself. The cost of delivery depends on if it is a high rate time period, so I placed an order tonight for delivery tomorrow (delivery is only $4). I’ll let you know how it goes.

  1. I LOVE INSTACART. I started using it last year and I’ve never looked back. I hate grocery shopping so paying a little extra is worth it to me. Plus, I feel like I’m saving money because I’m less likely to make impulse purchases. Hope you liked it!
