SHOP THE POST

It’s Tom’s birthday tomorrow but he has to work so we celebrated today. Dinner involved lots and lots of cheese because we all love it, and I can’t imagine what I would do if I was, or became lactose intolerant. Quite a few years ago I was watching one of those tattoo shows and a guy was getting a picture of cheese tattooed on his arm. I was thinking how weird that was, but he was just diagnosed with lactose intolerance and was cutting cheese out of his diet. The tattoo was a memorandum of something he loved and lost 😂 and I totally get it.

Next weekend is Roo’s birthday, Merle’s is in the middle of December, then 11 days later is Christmas. This guys, is the reason that I start Christmas shopping in April, because it’s way too expensive to get all this done at once. What I need to do is lock myself in my room and take an inventory of what I bought because it is easy to forget when you buy something months ago. I see why people use spreadsheets and stuff to keep themselves organized on items purchased and dollars spent. If only I was that organized, but I’ll be scrawling it on a random page in the notebook that I use for everything.

Do you have anything on your Black Friday, or Cyber monday shopping lists? I was hoping that certain awesome Zara dress would be on sale but I doubt it, or if it is it will probably go fast. Aside from that are the winter boots for Merle, and a few odds and ends for the kids. Maybe I’ll even keep and eye out for a cheap down jacket for me.

We are going to see the new Fantastic Beasts movie on Tuesday. Have you seen it yet?

  1. You are rockin’ those new boots, ma’am. And holy crikey that dress is amazing. Fingers crossed for you it goes on sale. Best wishes on finishing up your Christmas shopping quickly.

For my part, lately I’ve returned more clothes than I’ve kept. My fingers are crossed that the fitted leather jacket I bought off ThredUp fits. It should be here shortly.

Hope all is very well with you. Cheers, Ardith

    • Thanks! I kind of really love them. The dress kills me. I saw it in their early fall preview and it took months to come out. I’m really hoping it goes on sale.

I went through a time of returning more clothes than buying. I actually still have money on my birthday gift cards because I kept returning things.

Good luck with the jacket! There is nothing like a great leather jacket. It makes any outfit look good.

  2. It fits! It fits! I feel like I was literally holding my breath on this one. So I was jumping for joy (in my mind) as I wore the jacket out for the first time yesterday.

May that dress find its way to you soon and work out as well as this jacket.

    Cheers, Ardith

    • Yay! I’m so excited for you! Your hunt is finally over. I hope you two have a long and happy relationship 😁
