This week has been a tough one to digest news-wise and I kind of felt like not posting for the rest of the week because it just feels so unimportant and frivolous in comparison.

I also realize that it is both possible and important to live your life while striving to help others and make changes, and that is what I intend to do.

I would say that France is the number one destination that I get requests for, primarily Paris.

If you are wondering what to pack for a France vacation. This is a France packing list in terms of country vs specific cities which should give you some ideas. While the temperature can fluctuate a lot between the northern coastal/central cities in France and the southern coast you can use this as a template for all seasons by swapping out pieces for more seasonal appropriate capsule wardrobe choices.

For example, during the hot summer, you would pack lighter, more summery dresses vs ones with long sleeves or heavier materials.

Although general, my inspiration behind this is an early autumn trip to various cities in France for a duration of 12 days. I put together 15 travel outfit ideas for these pieces for you to see below, but there are many, many more combinations that can be put together.

In general France fashion is quite stylish and it’s pretty easy to spot a tourist in the crowds just by clothes alone.

So if you want to blend in better than it is a good idea to select a fairly simple, neutral pallet. They like to piece high-end with low and are experts at it, and you usually won’t see head to toe labels either.

Think an inexpensive tee, Zara blazer, well-fitting jeans, and a classic Chanel purse, or Gucci loafers. And if you are anything like me and can’t afford high-end then you fake it until you make it 😉 A nice pair of Gucci-like leather loafers will work instead.

When in doubt keep it simple. Stick to neutrals with some coloured accents mixed in. Bring pieces that are versatile like the cardigan which reverses from light pink to camel so you can get two entirely different looks in one piece.

Classic pieces always make you look effortlessly put together like a moto, dark denim, and black loafers. Simple accessories are important to dressing up your look like a perfectly tied scarf, or little gold earrings.

If you feel good in it you should bring it because confidence is the ultimate accessory.

    • Yes that is always an option. If you stay at an airBnb they often have laundry you can use, or you can visit a laundromat if you feel the need to wash everything. I often wear shirts and pants more than once before laundering unless I’m super sweaty or it gets visibly dirty 🙂
