SHOP THE POST

One more day left in the long weekend and we have officially entered into “nothing left in the pantry” status. Dinner tonight was a mish-mash of things that we had left, but thankfully tomorrow the store is open even though it’s a holiday.

I’m still trying to piece together this GDPR stuff and may or may not have had a small panic attack. I *think* that I have a general idea of what I am going to do, and now that I know it should be easy to piece together (I might be overestimating my skills though).

I don’t know why I am getting so worked up because I am only a small-time website, they’ll be making sure that big businesses are complying first. I also don’t sell anything on here so I don’t have addresses or payment information to protect which makes things million times easier as well.

I do want to swap my site from an http to https for added security but the step by step process seems insane. If anyone has some easy guideline to follow or have already done this and can give me some pointers I would really, really appreciate it.

I was hoping that Madewell would have a sale this weekend in commemoration for Victoria Day like so many other retailers whom have Canadian sites have done, but nope of course not. Im sure they are saving it all for Memorial Day.

I think I am just going to have to bite the bullet and buy those sandals or else summer is going to be over and I will have missed the boat again. I keep hoping that I will find the older version on Ebay in my size but it seems that people must really like them and not want to sell them because I am finding minimal pairs, and the ones I do find are stupid expensive for used sandals.

I did get my bag this week and I love it. It holds a ton and would work well as a market or beach bag too. It is currently 30% off on the Canadian site for Victoria Day with the code VDAY.

I was hoping to get some serious cleaning done this weekend but that plan obviously went to shit. I need like a week straight of no obligations but cleaning to be able to tackle this mess to the point where I would be satisfied.

In our old apartment there was an area that was by the garbages/recycling outside that people would drag down the crap that they didn’t want anymore, then the maintenance guy would dispose of it weekly. I miss that a lot.

There is so much stuff that is just hanging around here because it is either too big for the garbage chute, is not in a good donation condition, or is of a size that we have to specifically book the elevator to get it out of here which is such a pain in the ass.

In the old place we used to wait until after the building office closed and smuggle all the extra crap outside to to that drop off area. It made cleaning and purging so much easier, and often other tenants would go through the crap down there and find something they liked and haul it home. Win-win.

I also may have just typed 1998 for the date of this post. I’m not sure how I just lost 20 years :/
