First off, while I am a Canadian my blog receives more than half of its traffic from U.S. visitors. After that is Canada, the UK, and then Germany, and Australia. Because of such a large U.S. based audience a lot of my links and store suggestions are to American based stores. As often as I can I try to include companies that either have stores in Canada, or have international websites that ship worldwide. This makes everything accessible to as many people as I can because honestly it really sucks to like something only to have it not be available to your country.

Today’s request comes via a fellow Canadian. She’s a mom in her early 40’s with two children who is travelling with her family to Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Northern France. I have a thing for half-timbered houses so when I saw Northern France I jumped on finding a photo that included one to put in my packing list collage. I seriously love them, and want to live in one just to say I did.

This trip is for 3 weeks in June, and includes several pieces that she already owns like the hat, black purse, white converse, and a moto jacket. The rest of the wardrobe was put together with her preference of a neutral base and some emerald-green, no red or blue, and easy fastenings due to rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. She loves Bruce Springsteen (me too) and try as I might I couldn’t find one that was in a reasonable price range (except at Gap). I did find this one and this one from Esty though. They are vintage and stupid expensive but really, really awesome. Etsy is a really good spot to score some vintage and deadstock band tees if you don’t mind spending some buck.

On a side note I wasn’t sure whether to include flats or sandals so personal preference will aid your decision. I ultimately decided that I would include the new Everlane Day Glove shoe because they are gorgeous, have great reviews, and apparently are super comfortable to wear the whole day…….and they are Everlane which means sustainable fashion.

She really liked the pieces I included in my San Francisco packing list so while I couldn’t replicate it, I hope you like it.

The denim kimono can be worn as a shirt or open as a light jacket in a blazer-like fashion.
