SHOP THE POST

First off, how did I not know that there was a season 2 of Broadchurch? I just binged watched the first to get a refresh and now I am watching the second season. I love David Tennant (so much that I want to watch Duck Tales just so I can hear him as Scrooge McDuck).

I bought my last Christmas present Tuesday night and it feels good. It just so happened that it was on the Amazon Lightning Deal that night so I even got it at a good price. It was a weirdly random thing to be on a lighting deal but I thought that Roo would enjoy putting together it. I just need stocking stuffers now. I love this time of year (that’s not sarcasm. I really do).

Today’s post is the companion post to go with the What to Pack for Lisbon, Portugal in Winter. This is the post where I take all those travel capsule wardrobe pieces and put them together into as many travel outfits that I can.

I put together 12 outfits for the 10 day trip to Portugal, but a lot more options that can be made with these pieces, especially if you change-up the accessories. Lisbon in the winter ranges from 10°C – 15°C (in late winter), so it is really a comfortable time for travel, and light layers will do you well.

When I think about a Portugal trip, I always equate it with warm weather and as a top summer travel destination. This request has opened my eyes to how wonderful it would be to visit there in winter. Not only would it not be too hot (which I hate), but it is not high tourist season and you will be able to enjoy the sites minus the crowds.

That right there is reason enough to consider travel off-season.

Sometimes when I get packing light requests they don’t give me any of their wardrobe preferences. Other times they are quite detailed. Most often though, they offer a general description of style, colour preferences, and the stores they tend to shop at to help guide me in the right direction.

That is what this one was. Neutral/earthy capsule wardrobe palette (with a little colour), in a dressy casual style. A preference for J.Crew, Madewell, Mango, and H&M to give a mid to low range price level. I hope I succeeded and checked all the boxes with this packing list for Europe.

And I hope you are having a positive week 🙂
