I guess the most exciting part of the weekend for a huge part of the population was the premier of The Walking Dead.  For everyone except me it feels like. I swear I am the only person that I know that doesn’t like it, even mother loves to watch it. Please tell me that I am not alone in this. I rewatched the new Outlander episode while it was playing in silent protest.

I finished my Halloween diy and it turned out ok. It could have been better but my glue gun crapped out on me. I’m pretty sure Roo broke it and just silently returned it to the drawer hoping I wouldn’t find out. I’ll try to get my pictures organized and something posted about it this week, you know……before Halloween 😉

Christmas, Christmas you are sneaking up and scaring me. I decided to kibosh the whole Playmobil hospital for Merle plan. I was going through and purging the girls toys when I realized what a god damn mess they are once you take them out. There are so many little tiny pieces that it becomes almost overwhelming to play with. My next plan is Calico Critters because what kid doesn’t love animals that wear clothes and live in houses? I’m pretty sure that she loves animals more than people anyway so I’m sure it will be a win.

Do you know what a great way to end the weekend is? Your husband bringing home Pho for dinner after being away, and some chocolate he got sucked into buying from the kids standing in front of a store.

Yay or nay to The Walking Dead?

  1. I’m with you, Sara, nay to Walking Dead. How yet another apocalyptic show has dragged on for so long is beyond me. I’m sick of them all. How about some more uplifting, positive shows with likable characters instead?

Sounds like you had a fine weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing the photos of your 2017 Halloween costume adventures.

As for me, I’ve been continuing my cooking from scratch and yeast bread baking adventures. Today I’m making wheat dough for my original pizza recipe of roasted butternut squash and onions–with dried thyme, garlic, and goat cheese.

    Have a great week, Ardith

    • Totally. I don’t get the hype, and then any show I seem to like ends up getting cancelled 🙁

That pizza sounds so amazing. I wish I loved cooking and I wished people in here appreciated the effort. Damn kids. One is willing to try things, one is willing to try nothing.

  2. You are not alone!!! I have never watched an episode of Walking Dead, and have absolutely no desire to. Also, very cute ensembles. Favs were last 2.

  3. I love zombie movies and was a fan of TWD comic. I was really excited when the TV adaptation was announced and enjoyed it for awhile, but before the end of the first season they’d already made enough stupid and boring changes I had no desire to continue watching it.

I did manage to watch most of the last season, but I had a newborn keeping me up at all hours and it was available on our satellite’s On Demand. Some of the makeup was impressively gross and a few set-pieces were enjoyably creepy. That’s pretty much all it had going for it.

    • I hate when screen version differ too much from books that I have read. It pisses me off royally. Having a newborn gives you excuses to watch all kinds of shit at all times of the day and night. Whatever helps to get you through it. I watched so much random stuff while up all night with Merle. The kids still refuses fights sleep to this day :/

My husband watches horror regularly. Our house has all kinds of horror movie inspired decor sue to this. It is his favourite genre and it’s my least favourite genre. Opposites attract right? 😉
