I just want to start by saying ugh. My contact form apparently isn’t sending me everything when it is submitted. I just received 6 messages that were dated from the beginning to middle of June that never went through until now. If one of those messages were yours than I am so sorry I missed them. I wasn’t ignoring you. I try to respond back to every single message and I am feeling really bad right now. I think I am going to just remove the contact form and leave my email address there instead to avoid this problem. Once again I am sorry 🙁

Every once and awhile I like to revisit some old packing lists to update them or see what I chose, and how my choices would be different this time around. This time I went back to one of my most popular lists from a couple of years ago, Santorini, Greece. What I like about my choices from that list was the addition of colour. I guess I was feeling more vibrant then. It’s a fun, warm weather list, but in hindsight I included too many shoes and bags and would change that this time.

For this list my choices parallel nicely in some areas and differ a lot in others. Greece can be really, really hot depending on the time of year so slight adjustments might need to be taken into consideration if you are travelling during the peak hot season. Maybe an extra pair of shorts, and a couple of sleeveless tanks would round it out nicely.

My selections are broken down as follows:

I hope you like the updated version and I will put together 20-30 outfits from these pieces for next post.

  1. This is a fantastic travel wardrobe, Sara. The only piece I probably would replace is the Chambray shirt. I just can’t seem to do collared tops. My mom used to wear them well–including when she turned the collars up, which made her look extra chic.

Your selection of the black floral blouse made me laugh, because I now am the proud owner of this one from ASOS ) and I love it. I also love this Old Navy blouse ). They both brighten up my wardrobe so much, and make me look cooler in the summer heat. Now, if I could pack them for a trip to Greece, that would be spectacular.

I hope your week is going well, and that the girls have settled down with each other a bit.

    • Those are fantastic shirts! That Asos one looks a lot like the one I picked here. I was at the library today and the book Merle picked out today was a London travel magazine. I think that’s her way of saying we need a vacation.

I made my first fall purchase today. There was a grey sweater dress at the Zara sale and I grabbed it. I think it will look great over my leather pants. I am so looking forward to sweater weather again.

The kids haven’t killed each other yet so that’s a good sign 😉

  2. Which Zara sweater dress did you get? I bet it’s super chic.

Meanwhile, here is what I found as an interim substitute for the platform sandals I really want. In fact, I’m wearing them right now. They are so kooky that they’re cool (like Roman gladiator shoes on steroids), even my husband likes them (https://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/C-Label-Mollini-25-Open-Toe-Synthetic-Platform-Sandal/13697760/product.html). And the price is pretty unbelievable, not to mention the quick delivery…as in three days. Thank you Overstock.

I’m glad to hear Merle and Roo have managed to keep one another alive, I remember well how close my sisters and I came to blows as kids. Once we hit high school we actually got along pretty well.

Oh, a vacation sounds like a wonderful idea, doesn’t it?

    • I really like those. I had a pair that were similar but not a platform about 5 years ago. I wore them until the zipper up the back split and couldn’t be repaired. It’s always good when the hubby approves too. The price is insane.

The girls were pretty good this weekend. There was a moment when we left the carnival quite late that they were overtired and overstimulated and Merle was beating Roo with an inflatable sword the whole way home. I thought for sure they would be ko’d as soon as we got home but apparently I was too hopeful 😉

This is the busiest time of year for Tom’s job so there won’t be any vacations at the moment. It would be nice for Christmas but I am a pessimist so I’d say probably not. Any vacations in the near future for you guys?
