I had a fun request this week, it was a bit more challenging that usual. What to Pack for a month in Europe in summer, but due to religious reasons all clothing choices must cover the shoulders and be below the knee. The trip covers cities such as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Munich, Salzburg, Venice, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast from August to September. In many of these cities that is the hottest month of the year, so looser clothing, and breathable fabrics (linens, and cottons). But in several of the cities the temperatures average only low 20°C’s and have a higher chance of rain which is why I also included a trench, and booties for coverage in that weather.

Her chosen palette is navy, cream, blues, and black, with some neutrals to balance it out and I tried my best to stick to that. The pieces that I picked are going to be so easy to mix and match so that you have suitable outfits for each city. To make this easy I made sure to pick things from various styles that can al go together, some “French” (stripes and black), boho (embroidered, and loose skirts), as well as classic, and casual pieces.

Use your accessories to change-up the looks like small scarves can be knotted around the neck , folded and wrapped around your hair when you have a messy bun or up-do, or even tied around the handle of your purse for a nice added touch. Longer scarves are shawls, swimsuit covers, and even protection from the sun or rain in a pinch. Simple jewellery is best, small hoops, no rings (or just wedding ring you have one), a small bangle or watch, or a dainty necklace. Keeping everything simple makes it easier to mix and match your pieces and take them from day looks to-night looks.

I’m not partial to heels since many European cities have uneven or cobblestone roads which can make walking a nightmare without proper footwear, but if you feel the need to include a pair so that you have a really dressy shoe option than it is easy to do so. I included a cardigan, and a pullover for travel, air-conditioned locations, and cooler night times (or damp rain days).

Remember that your travel outfit comes from the pieces in this list not in addition to. Thirty outfit options for this list can be found in this post.

I hope this gives you some good ideas.
