June is a popular time for vacations and travel and I received several requests for an early summer packing list for London, England. Last year I made a London packing list but the clothing ideas were more suitable for fall or cooler weather. June weather for many destinations is a perfect time to travel because you have not hit the extreme heat and humidity that July and August brings which can bring difficulty to travel for some.

The temperature for London in June ranges from 16°C – 21°C , with a 50% chance or rain showers each day. With these temperatures you can pack light shirts, jeans and a dress or two and be comfortable and ready for various weather. The requests I received range from a 5 day trip to a 14 day trip so I decided to fall in the middle and make this one for 10 days. To adapt it to 5 days I would omit 1-2 shirts, one dress, one pair of jeans, and one pair of shoes.

This list works for more than 10 days and I will be posting 20 outfit options from this list in the next post. I’m not really a shorts person (not that they are necessary in this weather unless the forecast predicts hotter than usual days so it is a good idea to check last minute) so I included a casual pair of denim, a darker one and some black pants as the options for bottoms. For tops I included a pretty floral sleeveless option, a loose long sleeve, t-shirt, airy blouse, off the shoulder top, a pullover sweater, and a cardigan.

It’s always a good idea to bring a light jacket even during the summer since nights can cool considerably. Several shoe options is advisable as well but try not to go over 3 pairs including the pair worn for travel. In this list I chose a pair of booties, slip on-shoes (I was contemplating sneakers instead), and a cute pair of open-side, dressy flats.

For accessories I chose a tote, clutch, light-knit scarf, a hat, and a watch as a simple piece of jewellery. I am totally a watch person but this can wearily be omitted or adapted. In this What to Pack for London, England packing list you can see the general idea of what type of clothes you could bring for a vacation to London, England in June. I hope it gives you some good ideas.

Are you a watch person or do you just use your phone to check the time?
