Man I’m tired today. That is why it has taken a while for me to get this post finished. My brain isn’t functioning well. I slept terrible last night for some reason and then woke up with a pain in my back and a headache which makes the day more lovely. Then I had to get groceries, Tom and Roo stayed home and of course Merle had to go with me. I walked over with my trusty grocery cart and what usually takes me 10 minutes to walk when I am alone took 45 minutes with her tagging along because she dallies like all preschoolers do. Plus she was trying to help push the cart and kept running it up the back of my leg and tripping me. So all in all it took about 3 hours to complete the grocery shopping that I could have finished in an hour. It was really hot and I wanted to just curl up on the sidewalk, but Merle would have used this opportunity to call 911 since she thinks she is the 911 expert. Apparently I am a complainer, so now on to the post.

This packing list is a compilation of all the pieces I used in my last post. In that post you can see a 10 day, and 10 night outfit break down to give you ideas of how a packing list like this might work. There are obviously many more options and this is just to give you an idea of what you could bring with you on a 10 day trip. My packing lists are quite formulaic and all you have to do is just take the basic template and substitute your own pieces. Most items on this list are from H&M and under $60.

The breakdown varies depending on the temperature of the area of travel but is usually something like 4 tops, a couple of sweaters for layering, a jacket, several pairs of pants/shorts/or skirts, a few dresses that can be dressed up or down (a fancier one of needed), several shoes ranging in casual to dressy, a hat, accessories, and a small and big purse. The key is to make sure that every top goes with every bottom to have the most outfit options. I always plan it out so that bulkiest items are worn on the plane to make packing light easier. Everything should be able to be packed in a carry-on if done right because all you need to add are some undergarments, pyjamas, and toiletries which can all be rolled/and or stuffed in bags, shoes etc.

I am in love with the Mason Travel Carry-on by Sole Society. I have mentioned it before and I am sticking to it because I have looked around for a new carry-on for myself forever and this is the one that I keep coming back to. I plan on purchasing it sooner than later. Hopefully. It comes in Midnight blue, Cognac, and Grey, has ample room inside, it has a fully line interior and zippered part at the bottom to store shoes and/or other various items for organizational purposes.

I’m trying to think where my next packing list destination is so if you have an ideas or one you would like to see let me know. Now that we are fully into summer I am also starting to think about my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. I am combining the two seasons again because our fall can quickly move into winter here and then revert back to fall weather. That time of the year is very unpredictable in Southern Ontario and it would be pointless for me to make to separate lists for the two seasons that blend into each other the most. And yesterday I may or may not have already bought my first piece for that wardrobe already…

The outfit options for this list are in this post.
